Thai Classic is located at the start of downtown on Higuera street. In my opinion it is the best Thai food in this part of town - and it is run by a friendly Thai family! They have your classic Thai fare. Whenever I come here I order family style with my group - and I recommend doing the same. That way you can get a taste of many different flavors.
The Pad See Yew is probably my favorite dish here, but their other dishes such as curry, pad thai and fried rice all hit the spot as well. My girlfriend enjoys getting their Thai iced coffee too. We like coming here sometimes on Thursday evenings after walking through Farmers market.
If you have yet to stop in, I recommend doing so! -

Come here for their lunch specials and mango sticky rice!! Not the best Thai food I've had, but good for the price and friendly service. Can't go wrong with any of their curries.
There's only street parking available. -

Fair warning, my experience is probably not the average person's experience at this establishment!
My party of 12-14 people made reservations here to celebrate a graduate. Upon arriving 10 minutes prior to our reservation time, the entire restaurant was packed. No seating inside or outside. We waited nearly an hour to be seated (our reservation time was 8:30, we were seated at 9:30 -- when they're supposed to be closed). Nonetheless, we had already ordered so by the time we got settled in our seats, our orders of the cream cheese wontons and Tom yum soup had arrived shortly. We also ordered a beef salad dish, fried rice, pad see ew, mango sticky rice, beef and bell peppers, fried ice cream, another tomato salad, etc.
The food was amazing-- which explains why they were so busy prior to our arrival! The service was also great while we were seated. They were attentive even though it was already past their closing time.
The only reason I'm giving this review 4 stars instead of 5 is their lack in professionalism and punctuality when it came to our reservation. Overall, I did have a great experience and I hope to dine here again when it isn't a peak hour or festivity. -

Really great Thai spot! When I visited San Luis Obispo for the first time this summer with my cousin we were craving some Thai food. There were a lot of spots to pick from but this one stayed open a little later and had really good reviews on yelp! It was really good! We had the drunken noodle, pad Thai noodles and yellow curry! All of us enjoyed our meals! There was so much flavor! We also had Thai tea and it was super delicious and sweet just how we like it! The service was wonderful we constantly got our waters filled. If you are in the area and craving Thai food give this place a try!

Almost got up when they don't serve papaya salad. We should of walked away
The food was horrible and got us very bloated and uncomfortable
And not cheap either
Will not be returning here
